Happy Valentine's Day! We had a great weekend with our church, looking at what it means to die to ourselves and follow Jesus from the Gospel of Mark.
Here are the songs we sang together this weekend:
"There is a Fountain" (William Cowper, William Gardiner - Citizens & Saints version)
"Hallelujah to My King" (Paul Baloche, Brenton Brown)
"Lead Me to the Cross" (Brooke Ligertwood)
"Your Great Name" (Michael Neale, Krissy Nordhoff)
"Because of Your Love" (Phil Wickham)
"There is a Fountain" is a great arrangement by Citizens & Saints of a fantastic hymn about the precious blood of Jesus that has won our forgiveness. I think it is something we need to celebrate more often. "Lead Me to the Cross" was a fitting response to the message, and I felt that "Because of Your Love" was a good way to send each other off at the end of the services. Our laying down of our lives for Jesus is only a response to how He laid down His only life to save us. He has done it all for our redemption, and because of that He is worthy of all that we are.
